Guild System in cataclism Posted by Ugor on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 (05:16:05) (62 reads)
A seak preview in the upcoming changes in the guild system... (source Wow.com) Guild Talents
Cataclysm introduces the idea of guild talent trees, similar to that of a player. Every time your guild gains a level, it will also gain a talent point. These talent points can be spent by the guild master in the guild talents tree. What is really special about these talents is that they affect the entire guild. Some example talents mentioned include features such as:
*More money looted from bosses/mobs
*Reduced repair costs
*Removed reagent cost for casting spells (such as raid buffs)
*A mass resurrection spell that can be used to revive an entire raid (with a cooldown, of course).
*A way to summon your entire raid
*Automatically transfer a certain percentage of the gold looted to your guild blank.
*You can respec.
A lot of good things are coming in the next Expansion, I think we are all waiting for the big day
The Last Two Weeks Posted by Suelyn on Saturday, January 16, 2010 (03:57:24) (124 reads)
Triage has been busy in Icecrown Citadel that last two weeks. We have downed four bosses and got the measure of Festergut now, so are very hopeful to see him topple within the next couple of raids.
It is very exciting to be at the pointy end of the game - killing the latest release bosses within weeks of their release.
Our first Marrowgar kill was achieved 11th Dec, the week he was released.
Triage then took a three week break from 25mans for the Christmas and New Year period. During this time we gathered a few new recruits (noticeably some shamans, YAY!) and on our first outing 7th Jan with new members we took out both Lady Deathwhisper (although I do think her name should be Lady DeathYell, or Lady NeverShutsUp)
and also took out the Gunship Battle, despite Mullokad's attempts to suicide with the jetpack.
The next day 8th Jan, we went back into ICC and listened to Saurfang exhort his strangely named son (Dranosh?) to give over and come back home where he belonged. Saurfang Jr, like most rebellious teenagers, didn't; told his father where to stick it and we as a guild were able to administer some rather excessive parental violence to the young man.
All's well that ends well, and Saurfang is off burying his son while we shall carry the Horde Flag on into Icecrown.
Both 10 and 25man raids excel. Posted by Suelyn on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 (02:19:51) (188 reads)
This week Triage knocked a lot of bosses out. Both the 10 and 25 man teams rampaged their way through the various dungeons of Northrend.
The 25man team took out Freya after having a few difficulties with downing three adds at the same time. This boss is only practise for Mimiron guys, so there is more of that co-ordination needed next watcher!
Then we took a quick trip over to the Argent Tournament and downed both the Beasts of Northrend and Lord Jaraxxus. Surprisingly enough, the biggest problem to be had there was people running away from Icehowl. Perhaps this is due to the fact that running away or giving up is just not something Triage people do? Well done on a great week's raiding, guys.
Then of course, we have Ado's ten man team, who downed not only Tournament of the Crusader's bosses, but also hit Freya on hard mode. Sadly there were no attempts made on General Hard Mode due to the horrific lag being suffered by many Western Australian members at the moment. Next week, we will get him.
New picture style Posted by Suelyn on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 (03:42:08) (132 reads)
We have a new picture size and style this week. Comments on how you like them would be great please. Size included.
In our fairly normal Triage style, Ado's ten man decided to skip all the gentle easing in to hard modes and go straight for the throat. A few attempts to work out how to most effectively kill our tanks were needed for the Iron Assembly, but we got there fairly easily overall. The only disappointment is that Mullo runs too fast and Terrybull can never quite catch him before he (Terrybull) dies.
After Iron Council gave us a morale boost (not that we needed one), we decided to have a try at Thorim before Sif left. We were kind of surprised when we not only made it to Thorim in time easily, but our "learning attempt" happened to down the boss. Way to go!!
And, of course, we went and had a look at the new instance. We had a lot of fun with that and also decided that any raid in which Mullo dies, is a good one. When he kills himself as the boss arrives and we kill the boss with him lying dead on the floor is way more than we ever expected. Thanks Mullo!!
