The Last Two Weeks Posted by Suelyn on Saturday, January 16, 2010 (02:57:24) (19 reads)
Triage has been busy in Icecrown Citadel that last two weeks. We have downed four bosses and got the measure of Festergut now, so are very hopeful to see him topple within the next couple of raids.
It is very exciting to be at the pointy end of the game - killing the latest release bosses within weeks of their release.
Our first Marrowgar kill was achieved 11th Dec, the week he was released.
Triage then took a three week break from 25mans for the Christmas and New Year period. During this time we gathered a few new recruits (noticeably some shamans, YAY!) and on our first outing 7th Jan with new members we took out both Lady Deathwhisper (although I do think her name should be Lady DeathYell, or Lady NeverShutsUp)
and also took out the Gunship Battle, despite Mullokad's attempts to suicide with the jetpack.
The next day 8th Jan, we went back into ICC and listened to Saurfang exhort his strangely named son (Dranosh?) to give over and come back home where he belonged. Saurfang Jr, like most rebellious teenagers, didn't; told his father where to stick it and we as a guild were able to administer some rather excessive parental violence to the young man.
All's well that ends well, and Saurfang is off burying his son while we shall carry the Horde Flag on into Icecrown.
The March of the Dead Bosses. Posted by Suelyn on Monday, October 05, 2009 (03:33:34) (74 reads)
Triage had a very good week, taking out the remainder of the Trial of the Crusader and visiting a couple of nostalgia spots to grab achievements and phat lewt. Well done on clearing ToC guys and congrats to those who took a Twilight Vanquisher title.
Ten Man Triumphant! Posted by Suelyn on Monday, October 05, 2009 (02:17:34) (72 reads)
Ado's ten man was very busy last week. They started off the week with the guild's first Yogg-Saron kill - a great effort guys and a surprisingly easy kill considering the amount of time that went into aggressively ignoring the encounter in favour of hard modes.
The ten man then went off to visit Sartharion for old times sake and took out The Twilight Zone achievement.
After that they took on the Heroic mode of Trial of the Crusader again and downed the Faction Champions and the Twins. A great weeks raiding guys and an awesome effort to take out so many different encounters.
Heroic ToC Posted by Suelyn on Monday, September 28, 2009 (04:35:43) (114 reads)
The New Onyxia was no match for Ado's ten man team - not terribly surprising as most of the team are old enough to have cut their raiding teeth on her original form. The fight did allow Azif to continue his exploration into the realm of body cavity searches by boss adds as he took a quiet moment alone with forty or so of his favourite whelps while the team took down Ony. How do they compare against the Yog-Saron adds, Az?
Also taken down recently was the heroic version of hte ten man Northrend Beasts and Lord Jaraxxus.
Mimiron mangled Posted by Suelyn on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 (03:28:04) (101 reads)
Having a small window of time left after a raid, we decided to head to Mimiron to have a look and get a feel for the mechanics of the fight.
We wiped the first time due to the plasma blast and worked that one out. Next time we wiped due to some disconnects. Third time we wiped because... well, actually, we didn't.
We killed him deader than a dead thing being dead. Congratulations Triage on having all four watchers down. Now there are only two bosses left in Ulduar.
Thorim thrashed. Posted by Suelyn on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 (03:23:19) (95 reads)
September 6th saw Triage take out Thorim.
We had a few goes at it, making slight adjustments to the tunnel team and the arena team as we went. Once we had worked the balance out there was very little problem.
Well done to all!!
Next day Ado's ten man team hit the last boss of Trial of the Crusader and downed that too. Great effort from all involved on the steep learning curve. This was certainly a different boss fight.
Light and Dark - Alive then Dead. Posted by Suelyn on Monday, September 14, 2009 (03:24:28) (103 reads)
Late in coming to the front page news, on the 27th Aug, Ado's ten man took down Lightbane and Darkbane on their first appearance to Trial of the Crusader. Well done, all.
Both 10 and 25man raids excel. Posted by Suelyn on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 (02:19:51) (79 reads)
This week Triage knocked a lot of bosses out. Both the 10 and 25 man teams rampaged their way through the various dungeons of Northrend.
The 25man team took out Freya after having a few difficulties with downing three adds at the same time. This boss is only practise for Mimiron guys, so there is more of that co-ordination needed next watcher!
Then we took a quick trip over to the Argent Tournament and downed both the Beasts of Northrend and Lord Jaraxxus. Surprisingly enough, the biggest problem to be had there was people running away from Icehowl. Perhaps this is due to the fact that running away or giving up is just not something Triage people do? Well done on a great week's raiding, guys.
Then of course, we have Ado's ten man team, who downed not only Tournament of the Crusader's bosses, but also hit Freya on hard mode. Sadly there were no attempts made on General Hard Mode due to the horrific lag being suffered by many Western Australian members at the moment. Next week, we will get him.
