Wrath
Posted by Suelyn on Sunday, November 16, 2008 (08:52:51) (59 reads)

So far, Lich King is looking pretty good. The server is pretty stable and the queues are OMGWTF sucketh mightily.

Congratulations to Rochelle and Robert (both 75), Popeonarope (74) and Oolaalaa, Violennta and Phorum (73) for having understanding familes (or having found the mute button for them).

One of the things that the expansion has highlighted for me is the amount of really rude people who play the game. The amount of kill stealing going on by same faction side people, the herbing/mining node ninjaing and people who come and skin your kills without bothering to ask. None of this is reportable behaviour, of course, nor even worth getting annoyed about - but politeness is the grease that makes society go around and the total lack of it in Wrath is disturbing.

That said, the game itself is looking really good. The instances are short, without major trash clears, the quests are interesting and the scenery fantastic.

Ok, the quests aren't all interesting - how many ways can you disguise "kill X, gather Y" though? I think Blizzard has stretched the available limits well.

Enough waffle. Back to leveling!!

Posted by Suelyn on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 (13:36:49) (35 reads)

While we have cleared ZA several times and have made all four chest a couple of times since the nerf, I thought we might just like to have a record of the last ZA run fourth chest.

Here's to happy times ahead in WotLK!!

Bazwah, Coz, Crunted, Fionualla, Popeonarope, Soul, Suelyn, Terrybull, Vorl, Wottashokka, Zerious

A joint run by Heretic and Triage produced three dead bosses. Not a bad run at all and we had a lot of fun.

Just as well the servers are down though or this piece of news would never have been produced!! Congrats to all who were there.

Heretic members - Apokolips, Deadammodog, Decompose, Dmonic, Eucharist, Garrock, Kasidie, Khazkha, Lexer, Lirensa, Lowflyer, Lucina, Revival, Sevrinax, Shameonme, Slashershane, Whisperina

Raids
Posted by Suelyn on Monday, October 27, 2008 (23:03:00) (39 reads)

Zul'jin 28Oct08
Present:
Tanks: Terrybull and Malbertha
DPS: Mooeth, Zem, Parris, Wottashokka and Spinifex
Healers: Oolaalaa, Coz and Suelyn

An impromptu run of Zul'Aman took place on Monday night, rounding off an interesting WoW week. With the World Event of zombie fever, the seasonal Hallow's End fest and four players in the guild achieving level 70 (Congratulations Zerious, Popeonarope, Incoznito and Quentincrisp) we'd have to say it was a successful and fun week.

Oh, and to top it off personally, I caught a fish. Old Crafty

14 days to Lich King guys. Hang on to your hats!

Triage visits Southshore: Lich King World Event
Posted by Suelyn on Friday, October 24, 2008 (10:18:07) (44 reads)

With not quite enough people online to form a raid, Triage decided instead to take part in the World Event and help spread the plague. What Horde player wouldn't leap at the chance to infect Alliance players? We all know that for many months the Apothecary in Undercity has been labouring to produce a new plague, is this the result of his work? Or is it something altogether more sinister...

Triage visited Southshore. They resisted at first, but after conversion, they certainly seemed to enjoy feasting on brains.

Braaaaaaiins.......

What are those suspicious boxes in Booty Bay?
Posted by Cozizzle on Thursday, October 23, 2008 (12:07:34) (40 reads)

It would appear that Blizzard are starting to drizzle the first parts of a world event onto the servers in preparation for Lich King.

MMO Champion has the lowdown on the ghouls and zombies appearing around the place.

Exciting times!

Raids Onxyia and Ossirian
Posted by Suelyn on Thursday, October 23, 2008 (09:07:01) (51 reads)

Onyxia was easy sauce - we 7manned her. By contrast Ossirian gave us some trouble until we worked out a strategy but in the end it was a very successful Old School night, with two raids cleared, Onyxia and AQ20.

Well done guys, sticking at it the way we did is exactly the sort of backbone will we be showing the LK bosses too.

Raids Karazhan - a walk in the park.
Posted by Suelyn on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 (09:17:12) (38 reads)

Last night saw Triage running through Kara in a little over two hours. And it took so long because we took a half hour break before Nightbane. We carried two brand new 70s (dinged today, congrats to Wottashokka and Zerious) and did the first two bosses with 8 people.

For one of our first runs together as a guild it went very well - no stupid wipes, no drama and plenty of relaxed chat. Tony got some nice tanking gear (king's Defender, yay!), Paul and Phil both got some purple for their squeaky new 70 toons.

Nice night guys.

Raids Two raids
Posted by Suelyn on Sunday, October 19, 2008 (01:36:37) (33 reads)

We did two raids tonight. First to Zul'Amun where we got two chests and downed the DragonHawk boss, then on to Kara where we cleared to Nightbane.

Nothing flash, it was mostly about learning to raid together. It was a nice start for the guild.
