The Last Two Weeks
Posted by Suelyn on Saturday, January 16, 2010 (03:57:24) (128 reads)
Triage has been busy in Icecrown Citadel that last two weeks. We have downed four bosses and got the measure of Festergut now, so are very hopeful to see him topple within the next couple of raids.
It is very exciting to be at the pointy end of the game - killing the latest release bosses within weeks of their release.
Our first Marrowgar kill was achieved 11th Dec, the week he was released.
Triage then took a three week break from 25mans for the Christmas and New Year period. During this time we gathered a few new recruits (noticeably some shamans, YAY!) and on our first outing 7th Jan with new members we took out both Lady Deathwhisper (although I do think her name should be Lady DeathYell, or Lady NeverShutsUp)
and also took out the Gunship Battle, despite Mullokad's attempts to suicide with the jetpack.
The next day 8th Jan, we went back into ICC and listened to Saurfang exhort his strangely named son (Dranosh?) to give over and come back home where he belonged. Saurfang Jr, like most rebellious teenagers, didn't; told his father where to stick it and we as a guild were able to administer some rather excessive parental violence to the young man.
All's well that ends well, and Saurfang is off burying his son while we shall carry the Horde Flag on into Icecrown.
Festergut is next!

Triage News : 25man raiding.
Posted by Suelyn on Sunday, March 08, 2009 (15:40:57) (51 reads)
This raiding week saw the beginning of regular 25mans for Triage. We ventured into Naxxramas and saw Spider, Military and Plague Wings topple before us. Construct Wing was a little more robust but only Thaddius withstood our power. We'll get him next week.
A great effort, to get all bar three bosses in Naxxramas in the first week, guys. Well done.
One little side trip we made was to Obsidium Sanctum, where a group of us worked on Sartharion with a drake up. They also were downed.

10 man content CLEAR.
Posted by Suelyn on Sunday, March 01, 2009 (11:42:28) (37 reads)
Last night saw Triage down the last of Wrath's current ten man content. A little brainstorming, a touch of patience and some UBER DPS, TANKING and HEALS was all that it took.
25man content is now looking like a good place to go. Ulduar, ever better.
Tank - Fionualla

Frozen and Triage start 25 man Naxxramas
Posted by Suelyn on Thursday, February 19, 2009 (08:21:29) (91 reads)
Last night saw some Frozen members join Triage to fill out the numbers for a 25man raid. Our first kill was Patchwerk, who died in a surprisingly short time, one shotted.
Then we decided to take on the Plague wing and apart from a small hiccough on Heigan (it was LAG, truly. Lag.) we cleared the whole wing in remarkably short order, one shotting the other two bosses in there.
Tonight we will take Spider Wing and then we will hurt Grobbulus. Lots.
Well done guys, and keep up the good work. Thank you to Frozen members for making it possible.

Naxxramas Clear
Posted by Suelyn on Sunday, February 01, 2009 (09:53:57) (41 reads)
The last week of raiding saw us clear Naxxrammas. Congratulations to everyone on the team for their tenacity, effort, skill and the cool headedness that allowed for a few tries before both of the bosses in Frostwrym Lair caved.
While the kill and the credit belongs to the entire guild as a whole I think that we should not forget that many people in the guild worked hard to bring this about. Phil, Brad and Ben and of course our intrepid Raid Leader Brian. I would particularly like to mention the healers who have always done a fantastic job. Everyone did really well, but I would like to particularly mention two players - one is Zerious, who has geared up his toon and at the same time soaked up WoW knowledge and has become our most improved player since the start of the guild. The other person is the quiet and unassuming Ileya, who is always ready, always flasked and fed; and most of all, who always carries out her assignment with skill and determination.
Tanks - Terrybull, Poxx
Dps - Fminx, Ileya, Kullthorag, Nethys, Zerious
Heals - Aldeus, Feardreaper, Oolaalaa

The Four Quarters Completed.
Posted by Suelyn on Sunday, January 25, 2009 (10:00:52) (52 reads)
After a shaky start this week, due to some horrible connection problems, Triage ignored the loot factor to work on new bosses. Last night Gluth and Thaddius were horribly mutilated and murdered at Triage's hands. Congratulations guys, and may there be many more.
Thaddius actually died after the raid had been declared over and we decided to just "go and have a look" so as to know what to expect. So while we were working out strats to have a good go next week, he died (the wimp) on the third attempt.
That means, guys, that we have only two bosses left in Naxx. Very well done and a special thank you to Q who unhesitatingly stepped out when his connection went a bit flaky .
Tanks - Fionaulla, Poxx
Dps - Vorl, Terrybull, Zerious, Fminx, Nethys
Heals - Aldeus, Wottashokka, Suelyn

Oh, and this is a picture we stumbled across during the week. You may wish to send your children from the room and some may find this offensive. Terrybull in his natural habitat.

The Military Wing of Naxxramas raided by Triage
Posted by Suelyn on Sunday, January 11, 2009 (11:44:48) (34 reads)
Did you ever practise and practise something, fumbling your way through, then one day when you go to practise it, you discover that somehow, it is actually easy? All your skills come together with a click that is almost audible and suddenly you can just do it? It is never the end and everything is perfect from then on, but it is a very large milestone. All of a sudden you are competent, capable and even if there are set backs iin the future, you _know_ you can do it with a little determination.
Last night Triage came together with a click.
We went in to clear spider quarter and (we thought) have a few tries at the military quarter before heaidng off to the single boss ten mans. We cleared Spider Quarter fairly easily and went on to Inspector Ravuvious. Our two tanks, Terrybull and Fionualla, have developed a great working relationship and after a couple of tries they got the hang of controlling the Understudies and that was that - down went Razuvious.
Tanks - Terrybull, Fionualla
Dps - Exitosus, Ileya, Nethys, Quevanas, Vorl
Heals - Aldeus, Oolaalaa, Suelyn
After a slightly garbled and confused run down on Gothik by the Raid Leader, Triage proceeded to take him down - one shotted. A magnificent effort on behalf of the raid, particularly as we found later that there were a few tricks we could have used (like standing in a different place) to make it much easier.
This left us facing the Four Horsemen. The Raid Leader mumbled some stuff about "not expecting to ge this far" which was a euphemism for "I know very little about this". Luckily, a hitheto quiet guild member stepped up and gave us, not only a run down on the encounter but a strategy that was clearly and concisely explained. With major thanks to Q (Quevanas) we two shot the Four Horsemen. The Militry quarter cleared on our first night in there - that is an extreme effort guys and I am proud to be have been a part of it.

Grobbulus Grovels before Triage
Posted by Suelyn on Friday, January 09, 2009 (08:35:26) (62 reads)
With a melee heavy raid, Grobbulus probably felt pretty safe, considering he had beaten us once or twice before.
I BET HE DOESN'T FEEL SO SAFE NOW!!
Well done guys - a little brainstorming and down he went.
